Our team sees a variety of pain issues including, but not limited to, the following:
Regenerative medicine utilizes biological agents to treat acute and chronic conditions such as muscle, joint and soft tissue injuries or inflamed joints.
We are accepting patients with the following conditions:
• Osteoarthritis of joints
• Chronic musculoskeletal disease
• Avascular necrosis of bone
A physician referral is required for this service. Please send the patient referral form directly to our clinic. An initial assessment will be performed by our physicians to determine if regenerative medicine therapy is appropriate.
Other treatment options, such as ultrasound-guided steroid injections, may be offered and discussed during the physician’s initial consultation. Regenerative medicine therapy is not covered by OHIP.
A one-hour assessment by a chiropractor specializing in chronic pain assessment and management that evaluates a patient’s pain characteristics, severity, and other factors to determine the nature of their chronic pain.
Data collected from this assessment can be used by a physician to develop a personalized treatment plan.
A kinesiologist will assess and track a patient's physical activity over 10 days using a Fitbit.
Afterwards, they will develop a personalized exercise program for the patients to help them incorporate physical activity into their daily lives in order to manage their chronic pain.
Optional evaluation of continuous glucose monitor is available.
Please note that there is a $175 cost for the purchase of the continuous glucose monitor (Dexcom G6) that is at the patient’s expense.
EMG and NCS are tests that evaluate the peripheral nervous system to better understand the cause of a patient's pain, determine the extent and severity of the injury, and provide guidance on treatment and prognosis for recovery.
Chiropractic care, physiotherapy, massage therapy, kinesiology, psychology counseling, social work, and orthobiologic treatments are not covered by OHIP. Some of these services may be partially or fully covered by extended health insurance plans. The coverage for each carrier is different; please check your plan to see what coverage is available for the type of service you are seeking.
Direct billing to the extended health insurance carrier is not provided at our clinic. Our clinic will provide patients with a receipt so they can claim the services through their health insurance provider for reimbursement.
Patients will be charged a fee for treatments that are not covered by extended health insurance plans. Please refer to the “Fee Schedule” section to find the treatment fees for different services offered at our clinic.
